DIRTY MARTINI
What can I say? I was commissioned to do this piece because it is the only drink the client takes. Not being a drinker, I was told that a Dirty Martini has olive juice mixed in. When I was trying to come up with ther concept, I was thinking about having an olive tossing mud into the glass. The client's wife said 'no, make it with strippers' so here it is. The pimento placement was key for this piece. - Michael Godard
GO FISHING
This fun and very simple piece was created after seeing a painting of Tom Sawyer fishing. I thought 'how cool is that, just kicking back and relaxing with a fishing pole.' Since my olives have feet, why not fins? Go Fishing was created. - Michael Godard
MATRIX MARTINI
This piece was inspired by the blockbuster movie The Matrix. This is a rendition the classic Martix scene as portrayed by our Olives. Instead of a bullet, however, we see one olive hurling a toothpick, which strikes the glass stem. The other olive performs the extreme Matrix bend to avoid being hit. In the background also see the numerical code from the movie, making this a perfect image for Matrix fans.
I painted this one for all the motorcycle fans! This classic chopper-style bike has an “olive-skin” bike seat and martini emblazoned engine parts. The hot Harley Olive Babe is holding West Coast Chopper Bag while her Stud Olive, sporting a dew rag, is shining the bike. Take a minute to find all the olives in this picture!
